Pink Paddlers

The Pink Paddlers Dragon Boat Team is Las Vegas’s first Breast Cancer Survivor team and Floating Support Group. This team was formed in 2009 as a soft place to land for women newly diagnosed, in treatment or treatment-recovery and for those battling stage 4-metastatic breast cancer. The Pink Paddlers are a group of strong, resilient women who know the value of living each day to the fullest. They are passionate about life, relationships, each other and dragon boating. This team meets once a week, year-round, and honors the memory of fallen teammates each time they get in the boat.

VA Warriors

The VA Warrior Dragon Boat Team was formed in 2016 for US Veterans in need of support after medical treatments, post-traumatic stress disorder, severe mental health and other service-related diagnosis. The unity of this co-ed team provides social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental health benefits in an effort to increase quality of life. Their water practices, team camaraderie and racing competitions help to rebuild self-confidence, regain control over their physical health and emotional well-being. The VA Warriors practice twice a month during the summer season in preparation to race in the Rose Regatta Dragon Boat Festival in October.

Jr Dragons

The Jr Dragons Dragon Boat Team was formed in 2014 to introduce the sport of dragon boating to local youth in the Las Vegas community. Being involved in this sport naturally teaches team work, the importance of team building, commitment, camaraderie and how working together advances the team as a whole. The Jr Dragons practice twice a month during the summer season in preparation to race in the Rose Regatta Dragon Boat Festival in October.

UNLV Rebel Dragons

The UNLV Rebel Dragon Boat Team was formed in 2015 to introduce the sport of collegiate dragon boating. It is a co-ed team whose goal is to enrich athletic growth and to build a strong and supportive community among its members. The UNLV Rebel Dragons practice twice a month during the summer season in preparation for the Rose Regatta Dragon Boat Festival held in October.
